Hail Damage

Hail can damage your roof without any visible signs from the ground. Hail normally has to be the size of a golf ball before it will break through your roof or cause bruising. This will cause SERIOUS deterioration of the shingle in a short period of time. Have it inspected, just to be safe.

If for example, your window broke, your insurance company would expect you to temporarily protect the window. For example you might need to clean up any broken glass preventing future injury and to board up the window to prevent future water damage to the house. Most insurance policies state that this is your responsibility whether you do it yourself or hire it done. They do require you to take action and may not cover damages that happen as a result of delaying such repairs.
